Jakarta Social Agency Head Iqbal Akbarudin confirmed that the recipients are existing beneficiaries whose data have been matched and who qualify for the assistance.

"Assistance for existing beneficiaries was disbursed today," he said on Monday (10/26).

Under Gubernatorial Decree No. 1068/2026 on the Fourth Amendment to Gubernatorial Decree No. 160/2026, the total number of PKD beneficiaries for 2026 is set at 219,252. This includes 216,477 existing beneficiaries and 2,775 new beneficiaries.

Iqbal noted that new beneficiaries would need to complete the bank account opening process and receive their ATM cards before the assistance could be disbursed.

"This is to ensure that the assistance reaches the intended recipients and distributed accountably," he highlighted.

He added that beneficiaries were selected through a transparent and accountable process based on applicable regulations and data evaluations from various sources, including field verification.

The Jakarta Social Agency remains committed to ensuring that social assistance reaches the intended recipients through regular data updates and collaboration with various stakeholders. Iqbal expressed hope that the assistance would ease the burden on people in need and help them meet their basic needs.

"The Jakarta Provincial Government remains committed to maintaining transparency and data accuracy in distributing social assistance. We hope this PKD assistance will ease the burden on children, older people, and people with disabilities in Jakarta who need support, while providing tangible benefits," he said.
